Six weeks before

Confirm the date, a comfortable budget, and what the person currently enjoys. For personalised or made-to-order gifts, check production time before comparing designs.

Two weeks before

Choose the gift and verify stock, the delivery address, and the retailer's latest estimate. Bank holidays and remote postcodes can change the useful deadline, so leave a buffer rather than treating dispatch as arrival.

Three days before

Check that the parcel is in hand and ready to give. If it is delayed, switch to a local experience, digital booking, or a thoughtful note that explains what is still on its way.
